Day to Night.

Day.

This weekend I ventured out to Atlantic City with my cousins to celebrate my birthday (May 17th) and my Graduation. Yes, Yes, I finally graduated with an Associates in Fashion Design (Pictures of graduation will be posted later.) When we arrived, check in time was at 4, but we were able to check in right at 10 which was a huge relief. We grabbed lunch, went to the Jacuzzi, then had dinner at Buddakan then ended the night at Harrah's pool after dark party.

Buddakan was such an amazing experience and I recommend the food to everyone. Favorite dish of the night was the shrimp. PERFECTION all around. Harrah's was so much fun; great music, good company, and good drinks. I met Ian Ziering from the original cast of 90210 AND I was the FIRST girl he picked to dance on stage!!!! I CAN. NOT. dance to save my life so my moves consisted of bending my knees while moving my hips and occasionally flailing my arms around. No seduction, just pure awkwardness. It was still an amazing time.

Outfit wise I chose really simple pieces while at the same time still making a statement. Day outfit (above) high-waisted dark skinnies with a simple scoop neck crop top and a chambray to complete the outfit. Currently obsessed with my new Jeffrey Campbell cut out ankle boots that my beautiful and annoying boyfriend bought me. Thanks boyfriend! For dinner at Buddakan I wore an ethereal type of dress from Urban Outfitters. This dress was a steal; originally $119 and I got it for $20. My kinda deal. I like to call the dress my "fairy" dress because I feel like I need fairy dust to follow me around when I wear it. hehe. Again wore the Jeffrey Campbells to give it a nice edgy contrast. My night outfit was a knit neon green bodycon dress from TopShop. I fell in love with the color and the little cut out in the front. I wore my Nine West black patent ankle boots to complete the look. I wonder what I'll do next year for my birthday now....

Dinner.

Alexander Wang

Alexander Wang Nadine Suede Ankle Boot

Alexander Wang Nadine Suede Ankle Boot

Jeffrey Campbell Melina Cut out Boot

If you can't opt for a pair of beautiful Alexander Wang booties, I found a perfect steal. These Nadine Suede booties are literally perfection and I can't tell you enough how obsessed I am with them, but me being a poor college student has left me financially handicapped at the moment. Today I stumbled across a pair of cut out ankle boots that resembled the Wang booties, but still had it's own sense of personality. Jeffrey Campbell just came out with a pair called the Melina Cutout Boot and I must say that I am kind of obsessing.

Latest Obsession: Cutout Ankle Boots

Balenciaga Buckle Ankle Boot

I can not get enough of these cutout ankle boots!
They are the definition of perfect and go with everything.
I must get myself a pair ASAP and wear it with an ethereal like dress
and everything else in my closet. The Balenciaga pair might be a little out of budget, but I found a great substitute on Nasty Gal! Links below to a few of my faves!

Autumn in the City

Autumn in the City

Autumn in the City by kanreemoua featuring chanel eyeshadow

Nothing says Autumn more than a deep plum lip and a burgundy felt hat.  I was driving to school today with that autumn crisp in the air and saw all the leaves turning to bright reds, warm oranges and yellows and just felt so inspired to give my wardrobe a much needed fall update. I am seriously lusting over the diamond patterned sweater, Rebecca Minkoff clutch purse, and the Jeffrey Campbell booties are a MUST HAVE.  My fall style has always been a soft look with a little punch of edge and I can not wait to wear my parka again.  I also came to the conclusion that my next beauty purchase is going to be the NARS Blush in Orgasm. I hear it is spectacular. In the mean time, I'll have to make due with the wardrobe I have now. At least I have my plum lipstick to put me in the Autumn spirit.
